Very nice job and great design! Did you use a propane pig for the body?

Yes I did,and the rest was scrap metal from around the shop including an old tire rim for the base
I'm happy with the outcome considering it was my first time welding

Very nice ! Is it top heavy though?? Just asking as it looks like it might be. I'm sure people would give you good bucks for them, for the back yard fire pits.

Propane pig ideas that I thoght were awsome.

Fantastic design, if everybody sits in a circle everybody is warm. I made a verticle barrel stove and no one gets smoke in their eyes and everyone is warm. You're going to love this one.

Thanks for all positive replies
Yes it does look top heavy but it takes quite a bit to push it over.I'm putting it on our existing firepit which is an old 24" diameter steel barrel that will make it even more stable. The tire rim was more for working on it.
I would say it weighs around 200 lbs

Nice!

I would bury the wheel base.
This will give it lots of stability and it would probably look cool appearing to stand on a rounded end.

Cool. Did you do anything to purge the tank before you started cutting? I have an old tank that I want to do almost the same thing with, but I've been afraid to do anything "sparky" around it before I knew it was safe.

Fill it with water 90% full and rotate the area your cutting on to the top.
Keep the tank mostly full to avoid explosive vapours collecting. Also make sure the tank is never sealed up so remove the valve to leave port open.
