Default Trapline Transfer Approved!

Well, after a year and a half as the junior and trapping hard this last season, ESRD has approved the transfer of the RFMA to me. Put in the paperwork with the previous owner just over 3 months ago. Went very smoothly...not a single follow-up question asked. The senior F&W officer stopped by the cabin a couple of times last year while quadding through the area so he knew how actively I was trapping it. Spoke with him about the transfer prior to putting in the paperwork and he said he would have no issues with transferring the trapline to me as senior holder. Went in to the ESRD office this afternoon and obtained my 5 year senior licence holder permit. Feels great! Can't wait to officially trap my own line this coming season!

Good to hear, and sounds like the line will be well looked after. Another example of putting in the hard work to get a trapline, a commitment of looking after the land and animals.
I hope the forest fires steer clear of your line, i am watching good chunk of mine go up in smoke.

Jim, sorry to hear that some of your line burnt. We are all at risk this year with the terrible fire season. Uke good to hear your line transfer went well. You did the right thing by being a junior first and proving up your capability. Good trapping.

Congrats! I hope you have many good years to come.
If I win the lottery, I might be able to get a line around here some day.
