Pretty cool, but VERY lucky.

He could have easily just wounded the animal.

Makes me want to get out there though.

.
It is hard to tell what the range or actual sight picture was. Turned out lucky. Might have been foolish or reckless if in fact he just shot through the bush. Could have been not cool.

The only way to get good at hitting running coyotes is to shoot at running coyotes.
I would not call anyone down for doing it.

Enjoyed it again !! If that rifle is a rem 7600 tacticooled out, you need to pull the trigger group and clean it , light strikes like that first misfire is from the crap grease they come with from the factory. It will strike light after walking in the cold ( -5*C) then fire the next in line as the hammer freed up a bit from the initial trip of the trigger. Go walk another 20 - 30 mins and you will have another light strike. Took me awhile to figure this out for a buddy, cause every time he brought me the rifle it was warm , we blamed ammo and all sorts of stuff ( maybe I'm a slow learner) before checking the trigger group.. and found trigger Goop!
