Default Smokey conditions outside today

Well when I woke up it smelled like I was inside my smoker. The last few days you could see that there was smoke in the air just by the colour of the sun, but today it seems to be really low to the ground. Strong smoke swell and ash falling from the sky.

Same in E-town it's 10:30am yet seems like 9:30pm just the way the sky looks. All the heat without the UV rays!!

UV will pass through the smoke. Sun may not feel as intense but you will still burn.

keep that in mind.

I wanted to jog or bike today, I'm wondering what are the consequences on the lung and throat?

If you're in shape, probably a little harder on the lungs so I wouldn't go hard. if you have a pre existing condition, avoid the smoke.

from my vantage on the east end of Edmonton, the downtown core is partially visible.

Come to Grande Prairie, we've been in a smoker for the last week. And the 30 sum degree weather hasn't helped the air conditions much either.

Wear a wet bandana or dust mask so you aren't deep breathing in the ash moreso than the smoke.

Here is an active map that shows the smoke forecasts for Western Canada.

http://www.bcairquality.ca/bluesky/west/

If the smoke and ash gets too heavy it will be time to take a drive southwest.

Averagejoe I bet it's a whole lot smokier now. Just heard about victor lake fire. My brothers house is on 97th ave. My sis in law could see flames over the bush side houses across the street. Hope you are not affected and it gets knocked down quick.

No ash in Calgary but much like the last few days it has been hazy.

fishtank I really like your signature GIF...sadly I hav seen the "girlfriend throwing the clothes out the window" situation as it happened to a friend of mine...in hindsight he would have been better off to let her finish and the pack it all into a couple of garbage bags and then crashed on a friends couch....stupidly he stuck with the psycho nut case.
