Has anyone here ever fished for Marlin in Oahu? I'm heading there with my family at the end of July and wonder if anyone can recommend a guide or share their experience with me.
Whats the likelyness that I actually catch a Marlin. Is it hit and miss, 50/50, not likely?

Slim at that time.. not sure of who guides off of oahu, but the best guide in the state of hawaii IMO is Marlin Magic II out of Kona, Big island. They caught a grander 2 weeks ago.
Slim to none. The very odd one around. A few wahoo and mahi mahi around.
Hate to say it...it will be a leisurely boat ride. A bottom fishing charter may be more entertaining.

I have fished a couple of times while there. I also feel that your chances of catching a marlin are thin.
You will have better luck catching some small tuna, and mahi mahi, perhaps even a wahoo.
