Chain Lakes (Athabasca)

Hey guys,

Anybody been on this lake lately. I'm wondering what the driving conditions are like there as far as getting onto the lake, and driving around. Please let me know. I hope to head up there Saturday. Thanks

I was going to head up there in the near future too. If anyone knows what the conditions are that would be great.

i was up there last week when it was really cold!!!

there is a bit of snow on the ice...i didn't drive on but there were alot of drifted over tracks....we parked and walked out only bout 50 yrds.

we had a good day...caught 7 rainbows and lost more than that. i posted a pic on here after that day...

good luck....oh the ice is plenty thick to!!

cool...the action was hot just after sun up for about an hour, then died a bit, then picked up about noon!

Hey Guys,

We were out on Saturday and the fishing was slower than normal. I think we managed to catch a couple of trout each between 8:30 and 11:30. Lots of snow, but managed to break trail with the first 4x4 and then the rest followed.
