Default Crawling Valley16 July

An excellent day for fishing. Just a small chop on the water to keep the fish from spooking from the boat. A friend of mine dented his prop on the west side but could still operate. The pike were in the 10 - 12 foot water and a few were even in the 20 foot waters. Water temp was 68 F. The only lure working for me was a Williams Wabbler Whitefish (6 inch). Caught and released a 5 pound Walleye. It took the Williams while I was trolling. The three of us kept enough for a fish fry and a couple for smoking. Being that it was a Saturday I didn't see as many boats on the water as I thought there might be. Most of those were after the Walleye.
