It is not legal to camp there. Please do not do it. Campers ruin the shore on the North side of the south lake. COs are there all the time and bust campers. There is camping super close at Mclean Creek Rec area. The fishing is not as good as previous years because of winter kill. It has been stocked again so you will catch fish on a fly rod. Belly boats are your best bet because casting from shore is really hard unless you are on the south side of the lower lake.

I have probably caught 20 there this year in 3 visits and in previous years you could catch that in a couple hours.
