Default Well, I'm done....

8 weeks plus 2 days....38 treatments.....and I rang the bell this morning !! Follow up procedure is to wait 3 months and take another PSA test and hope for the best.

So I'm headed back to Provost this afternoon and hope to start swathing tomorrow.

P.S. Get your prostate checked !

Good Luck to you and all the best! Been there before. Spent a good amount of time on the tractor myself to keep my mind off it. Hope the harvest goes well!

Thanks guys.

Fisherpeak, I'm 60 and I found out in a routine blood test. I had absolutely no symptoms, just a slightly elevated PSA count.

Default Well, I'm done.................

Keep on kicking butt out there on the farm.
I'm an 83 year old big smoke geezer, had my first bout, the highest PSA
the RA had ever seen in 1995 .Went through all the biopsies
and treatments, I'm still here & just as big a pain in the ace as ever.

All success, take off a good crop, go south for the winter, stay clear &
careful of those 79 year old Tampa sweeties and card sharps, you'll do
just fine.

Congrats on being a survivor! It is one of the worst things you can be told about by your doctor. Keep up with the check ups and count your lucky stars!!

Didn't qualify for Brachiotherapy ? If you have to have prostrate cancer, the most non invasive and least side effects of any treatment. Just ask me? Good reason to have your PSA scored early and regularly.

No, my prostrate was WAY too large for that. Even emailed the outfit in that does the ultrasound treatment (don't have an extra $23 K kicking around but) and they said that the largest they work on is 40 cc.....mine was over double that. Hence the hormone shot !

Good to hear!!! Glad all is well and you can go back to a normal life.
My husband waited too long and cancer spread to the bone and he didnt get that second chance. Live life to the fullest, and count everyday as a blessing.
Ill be praying it all worked and you are healthy and cancer free for the rest of your days....

Glad to hear that.

Having to spend time in Edmonton is cruel and unusual treatment.

I'll catch up with you one day for that coffee.

What are you swathing? Just asked to get your mind off of what you went through.

Remember, keep those follow ups on schedule.

I am so glad to hear another successful story.
