28 Nolser
Anyone out there have a 28 Nosler and been able to get 3300 FPS (as marked on the Nosler factory ammo box) out of the 160 Grain Nosler ammo?
I'm shooting an M48 Liberty with a 26" barrel. I can't imagine that the test rifle had a longer barrel than that. Rounds were all at about 20C when fired and I'm averaging 2150 FPS. I shot on a sunny day and a cloudy day; deviation was 20 FPS...a far cry from 3300 FPS. I'm 22 rounds into the 30 round break in so I can't see the velocity changing much after complete break in.
