Anybody check the ice north by Gp?

Hi just wondering if anybody in the Gp area has tried to get out and check the ice?

PLEASE DO NOT take this as reliable, but I did see on FB someone has been fishing on Snipe Lake already, foot access only.

I have not been out too much but with this coming week of -20 to -25 I would bet the ice is gonna be good everywhere.

Yeah I figured it would be good coming up after this week or so of minus 20s. There is numbers in other provinces you can check ice advisories. Why is there nothing like that in Alberta or is there?

I don't know of anything like this here(haven't heard of it in other provinces eiter) and the reason is most likely liability. If you publish ice data that people are relying on for safety then you are potentially liable if something happens.

I was out at Sturgeon Lake and saw people fishing Sturgeon lake. I wasn't brave enough to go out there yet. This weekend though I will go out.
