Default What Fishing Equipment To Use For Beginners?

So I fished for the first time in Whitemud Creek, and it was a very fun experience even though I didn't get any fish it was exciting. I started to get deep into fishing and I realized that I need different fishing lines, sinkers, and etc. I know that I sound a bit stupid, but I am new to fishing, and I really want to enjoy fishing. Can you guys recommend me any sinkers, fishing lines, bobbers, and bait? It will really help me, and get me on the right track.
