Default Holiday at 40 mile reservoir

Family in Medicine Hat are planning a weekend at 40 mile this month and I want to bring a boat. What are conditions like and what species are available? I've never been there and have no notion as to what to expect and no one attending is likely able to help. Thx

Walleye one over 55. Perch, once you find them there are mainly little guys but fun to catch.

Bottom bouncing works best for the walleye, can have some good days and also some very windy ones.

Nice lake and decent camping.

Read the new regs guys I see lots of people keeping illegal walleye! Everyone has last years regs printed out with them.

I have fished here a bit, and recently. It really is a beautiful spot. If you are fishing pike, I would use heavy tackle. As previously mentioned, this is a good perch fishery. Good luck and enjoy the vacation!

is 40 Mile campground basically booked for the entire summer every year? I don't suppose that's a place a guy could still get a spot for a weekend this month, eh?
