Default Clear Lake South AB

After a failed attempt to get on Lit Bow and my favorite spot at Travers I headed to Clear Lake to get a couple hours of fishing in. There was a ton of people there but by the sound of the laughter it seems everyone was enjoying a beautiful day with freinds and family. But I was wondering why everyone was fishing the West shore when in the summer all the boats fish the East shore where the weed beds are? I am not familiar with Clear Lake so I never headed across the lake in case of springs. But in the summer time when I was there I was able to anchor in one spot and catch all the Pike I wanted on the East shore. The West side has a flat sandy bottom with no weeds. I had the camera down for 3 hours and only watched Shrimp crawling across the lens. The only action I had was a school of 6 X 1" minnows playing around in my hole and listening to the augers turning the West side into Swiss Cheese. At the rate everyone was drilling and this warm spell I figure I should be able to troll the West side in my boat next weekend.
Dodger.
