Well here it is gang Less than a Week of Sleeps before opening day...
Be careful out there ...this is the time we will see a few destroyed bows...stuff happens...people get rushed and somewhat paniced..just use caution and be aware...be Safe!!

Today is the opener for areas like 514  But my bows in the shop so I have to wait until tomorrow.

Left Abbotsford this morning. Now I'm having a beer and a burger Brewster's in airdrie. Tomorrow, I'll check out BPS... Then on to my brother's and hang out there for 2 weeks. 4 more sleeps!

Was getting ready for the sept 1st opener so I went and got two packs of BHs and 1 pack of arrows.... Only to find out 2 of the arrows inserts are too far and a BH won't fit.

2 sleeps and already having trouble getting to sleep. Might be more like one sleep and one night laying awake wishing I was rested for the opener haha

Only 6 hours until I head out for my final scouting mission to make sure the route I have chosen is still where the deer are moving.
Then I will come home for an afternoon nap and finish preparing all my gear. Then its off to sleep in the truck over night near the opening morning spot so I can hike into the spot in the dark to get set up for opening day legal light.
Here is to hoping I get my first bow kill finally with this being my 3rd season of hunting.

29hours until ill be headed from the truck into my spot and hopefully have a nice wt on the ground. Ill post up the 2 "selected" bucks on the trail cam page in the morning. I wont be picky though, if a doe presents herself with a good shot I will take it....

22 hours from now I will be decideing which stand to try and arrow my first deer or moose. Depends on whether it has or is raining.
Plan (or dream) is to be back butchering my first bow kill while watching ESKS butcher stamps.
One can always dream.
