was a great day on the lake. the fishing, however was not. except for a miss round 830am,we landed nothing. others seemed to be doin well, from what we over heard smelts were used. maybe my pike skills need work. jigged everything from spoons to wigglers. north side, close to rocks. any tips out there? i know once you find a method that works a guy will hold it close, and i dont blame him. so any advice would be appreciated.

Go to smelts man! And if ya have a big crew, keep em quiet, ie; no running and stomping around in the ice! If you want to catch fish, and big fish, be quiet and hang the food. Plus, they may have been slow. Sounds like the fish told ya what they wanted and you didnt adjust your pesentation. If they arent hitting fast moving baits, slow it down. Guaranteed you will have more fun next time.
