Cold day at Bourque

Suffered through the cold Saturday and had a good day on bourque lake.
5 pike landed....biggest was 36" probably close to 12lbs. Smallest was just over 30". Lots of 6" perch....couldnt keep them away all day. No walleye but we were definitely not in an ideal location and it was way too cold to be moving around.

Had one of these pike take off with my wife's 1/8oz tungsten perch jig early in the morning....snapped the 6lb test instantly....about 3 hours later the same pike took an 8" herring off the tip up and got my tungsten jig back that was buried in the corner of his upper lip lol.

I haven't been in there since the mid '80's was really good back then and tough to access, but I imagine by now the oil companies have that place surrounded with roads.
