Default Not bunk like a good humbling from the river...!

This afternoon was textbook.

Saw 20 huge fat salmon flies hit the water in the first 15 min on the water....
Water clarity was great....

And I swear! The river didn’t have a single fish in it....!

Some times a guy needs to be humbled by the river.

It was still a beautiful day. My boy learned how to sidecast Parallel to the river and then flick the fly perpendicular right across the river to the water he was targeting.

Hot sun, my dog with me on a log, feet cooling in the water....... just watchin the boy become a better fisherman.... checking the water, seeing why the birds r doin.... watchin the bugs.....

Being skunked ain’t bad with a scene like that.

Trout dont want to bite at the ponds lately either.

Think they are afraid of the virus? Maybe social distancing instead!

Watched my 10 yr old catch half dozen bows of 12 to 14 inches on dries, then to end the day sight fished a gorgeous 18 inch brown on a big dry with a perfect cast from an elevated bank. Was one of my best fishin days ever
