Yet another poll hehe, Pick your favorite fish to fish
<INTRUCTIONS> You are allowed to pick multiple fish. Pick one for hard-water and open-water. Then below state why you picked it and was it for hard or open-water fishing. Remember pick one for hard-water and one for open water.
Im not sure how many fish there are to fish but im going to pick a few that are in Alberta to pick from.
For open-water its got to be walleye I LOVE to fish for walleyes with my dad. Just love how they take the hook and its normally non-stop action.
For hard-water ill say probably pike on the tip-up because its great to pull them in with your bare hands!!!! Also the fight they put up!
(not sure if this has happend before but I think I may have beat "catinthehat" to it hehe!)
Bass... Hope I never forgot any!

Open water - Walleye since it's mostly on my lake at home in sask and I didn't have a boat until late last year, but I also know where they are in summer too now
Hard water - Perch cause it's so challenging and you never know what you're going to get. Close second would be lake trout at spray.

I picked Trout. I only used to fly fish streams for trout, but the last few years with a pontoon, i also now enjoy still water fishing for trout, and last year was my first time ice fishing. I have now made my trout season 12 months. Now last year i did attend the Badger ice derby and fished for Pike, as i will this year but that is the only time i will fish for pike.

I picked trout for hard water as Chaparral is just sooooo close for the winter! Open water is absolutely Walleye. I fish for them exclusively and only in the open water. I also love to fish in tournaments for them. SAWT is a great place to meet fellow Walleye anglers and have a bunch of fun. I'm breaking in a new partner this year so our paln is just to have a fun year, not take things too serious and just get back in to it as I have been gone for way too long!
