Default Back from Island Lake

Well back from Island Lake, what a fiasco lol !!!,
lots of flood water, only Foot of ice, about foot of snow and about 6" of flood water, thank god the truck we were in is higher than a regualr truck, and we had very little of a problem getting in the position , however coming out was a bit of a hassle as we got stuck half way as plates of 3" thick ice jammed the front, well after about 15 minutes of digging and messing around we got out driving in reverse as the rear end was higher above the ground.
The fishing was slow only 3 perch in 8" range and 2 small jacks, couple bites without taking. nobody was catching any fish either, we got checked by 2 F&W officers ripping it through the lake on a nice skidoos, they told us that there hasn't been much luck that weekend at all.
This is my second year of trying ice fishing and yet I got to see a one productive day on the ice

Wow! Those are some nasty conditions. Thanks for the update, it is appreciated.

Is a tough day of ice fishing still better than work?
