Thunder is a Great Lake to wash lures in. Winterkill decimated it a few years ago

Does anyone have a read on how badly this last winter killed Dolberg Lake?

dont know about the ice, gotta be gone by now, anyway years ago the go to pattern was called an Alexander special, also known as the Lunker Killer, kind of a big long 4x long Carey Special-esque fly, front 1/3 peacock herl wound, grizzly hackle behind that, 1 wrap, then pheasant tail fibers as wing on top half over top of muskrat dubbing of olive color
