My 2012 Whitetail 204" SCI
Thought I would post a pic of my 2012 whitetail. Been after this deer for 3 years. He was definitely a bigger deer last year and had started to decline in antler size. Aged him between 8.5 to 9.5 yrs. Would have been a new world record for SCI last year and possibbly B&C. Widest outside spread is just under 30 inches and the deer weighed close to 400lbs. Shot him on the 13th of november in full rut at 350 yards. We stlked it for 750 yards. First shot was broadside and split the heart in half. All the deer did was turn and start walking. Hit him 3 out of 5 shots before he finally broke down and found the bullet under the skin from the first shot perfectly mushroomed. Was shooting a 300 wsm with some hot 180 grain reloads.

Yeah, I am doing a pedestal mount with the 191" in my avatar and a 186" 5x6 I harvested a few years ago. The sad thing is this one is so damn wide it makes the other 2 look like 160"-170" class deer. There was a 248" non-typical I seen at a horn scoring event that looked smaller than mine for the simple reason it fit easily inside of my antlers. My deer was over 30 inches deep in a straight line from it's back to it's brisket.

Any other pictures. At first glance I thought it was a mule deer because of the really dark face and lighter nose. Nice buck.

It is a nice deer and congrats for sure. But I think your world record comment may be a little off. Unless he turned into a 5 by 5 and his brow tines lost 6 inches each and he grew all the abnormal points and his G-4's got week all this year.
Like I said nice deer for sure but World record potential I think not.

What I mean by this is that this deer was at his peak last year or the year before and has lost close to 8 inches off of each G2 and close to 4 inches off of each brow tine. The previous 2 years he looked pretty much the same with very little change between them. If you add up the lost inches that would be another 24 inches to add to the score plus if he would have lost any beam length or mass, although that is usually the only thing that they do not loose as much. He may have lost some length on his other tines as well but I have no way to reference that. I know the last 2 years his G2's were 2 inches longer than his G3's and his brows were half the length of his G2's. His G3's are 14 inches this year and his G2's are only 8 inches. I do not have pics of this deer from previous years but have notes that I have taken and have about 5 hours of veiwing this deer through a spotting scope at 800 yards plus or on private land that I could not get permission on until this year. This deer was aged at 8.5 to 9.5 years old.

SCI only takes the gross typical score for typical and the total gross for non-typical unlike B&C which deduct for symetry, difference in tine lengths, diference between sides, differences in inside spread versus beam length or what ever else they deduct. When you look at there scoring methods I am suprised that they do not deduct for eveness of color or smoothness of each side compared to the other and etc. And yes he did grow most of the abnormal stuff this year. He had it last year but most would not have scored other than the 2 kickers off of the right side G2.
The SCI record held by my uncle scores 207 2/8 SCI. My deer scores 191 SCI typical, (204 non typical) if you add the 24 inches of length that the deer lost from last year that I posted above I am pretty confident that it would be a new #1 SCI. As it stands it is in the top 10.
