Default Fishing Pembina river

Hello all, I'm looking to take my kids out fishing this monday at pembina river. I read that it was supposed to be good fishing out there by the pembina river provincial park where the lobstick river comes in (up by Entwhistle). Has anyone been out there recently to confirm? I heard the river was quite high right now. I don't really want to take the drive up there from Edmonton if it isn't worth my time. I would rather go somewhere that's going to be successful shore fishing for my boys. If pembina is no good, I heard that the shore fishing at wizard lake isn't bad. I'd just like to be able to eat what we catch haha. Any help is appreciated. And if it matters, we're looking to catch pike or walleye. Thanks to all in advance.

Thats the lake, get there early if you want one of the 10 wooden benches to sit on or bring a lawn chair. Fish normal bite on those small marsh mellow power bait.
Sometimes green or pink .With a bobber.
If you have young kids ,check out the free kids water slides in in the park in Whitecourt ,took my grandkids there ages 5 -10 and they had a blast for many hours

Pembina is still low visibility. A very silty river until flows slow down so better in the late summer and fall. Looks like better plans are being sent your way

Good luck.
