Default Tungsten...are your beads 100% or alloy?

I have noticed not all beads are the same. Some are way more attracted to a magnet then others and in facts should be only very weakly attracted.

So looks like iron being added?

I’m not impressed as I was under the consumer expectation that the beads are 100% tungsten

I want my chironomids to get to the bottom fast.

Are your tungsten beads attracted to a magnet?

Sundance, sum nice looking flys there,
Been tying up a few steelhead patterns, and tungsten nymphs, and that's a good point you bring up,
I just ordered a few hundred tungsten beads, price was good, so i have to check,

Ya. My understanding is there shut be a very small response to a magnet. Some of my beads can be picked up by my fridge magnet which tells me there is more iron etc than should be. So cheap Chinese beads are poor quality. Also the paint on the cheaper beads is noticeable.
