Open Water

In past years, as of 1 Apr when season opened, I've fished near RMH and Caroline rivers, streams that I could safely wade in.

This year with the weird temperatures we've had I'm not sure of the conditions in the central area.

Any reports of flowing water in the central area?

Historically those rivers don’t really get fishable until mid to late month I’m sure this year will be no different. Heading home from thenfarm everything seem d pretty solid and ice covered. Last year I think it was a week or two even before there was the odd stretch open.

fish the rivers around Raven and Caroline religiously. Save your gas unless you want tot skate. Stauffer may have some open spots in the upper reaches as it is spring fed but we are a ways away from casting a line.

Some of the upper red deer is open but thats about it in the sundre area
