Question High River F&W "Closed Until Further Notice"?

I called the F&W office in High River yesterday and got a lengthy message about how the front desk was closed until further notice, and was given a long list of alternate numbers to call, from Report-a-Poacher to all the other F&W offices in the area. I assumed they'd be all set up in the new provincial building... I had spoken to Officer Phil Marasco a couple years back regarding registering all the Hublet's taxidermy for possible future sale and as we are actually moving now, thought he could come by and do that. Anyway, I wonder why they are closed....

I have no idea about the office stuff, but they have a shop right next to my work and they are constantly coming and going. So the officers are still out working...

Many smaller town offices were being closed by Redford few years back, officers still work but no office staff now. Just more cut backs.

A very large number of small town offices have been closed all over Alberta. This started 5 years ago and has accelerated. Virtually none now outside major centres.

Bummer. She was a nice gal.... after spending almost 17 million on that building, hopefully she will be replaced!

Anyway, I found this and found the number of the guy I was looking for.
