Default electric over hydraulic disk brakes on 5th wheel

wondering if anyone has any experience with a electric over hydraulic disk brake conversions on their larger 5th wheels. I'm finding even with the brakes properly adjusted and the gain high on the brake controller I'm just not getting confident braking from my large 5th wheel (39 foot almost 14,000lbs) i know when these RV's are built they go cheap but i thought better braking is never a bad idea.

thanks in advance
Cheers

You need a controller that has Elec/Hyd mode.

They're slow to come on but will skid the tires if set up correctly. Let us know what the conversion cost is; I think it will be very expensive.

It's one more additional system (hydraulic) interfaced to everything else which has to be installed, maintained, adjusted and worried about.

What's the advantage of it over just putting in larger-capacity electric brakes?

the theory is with disk brakes there "should" be less maintenance or adjustment. there is a requirement of a electric over hydro brake controller. looks like the cost would be about 600$ over the cost of replacing factory brakes. as for larger electric brakes i would think there is a limit that a electric brake system can put out...could be wrong tho.

Hmmmmm , didn't know they did electric over hydraulic. I know my current and past boat trailers have had that set up. Never knew on fifth wheels.
