☻☻Mini 14 not accurate? Thems fightin' words!
What a fantastic December day! My rifle really likes the Norinco white box stuff. I don't even know what grain it is, but meh, it does the job. My groups with American eagle 62gr and Western Munitions 55gr were around the 3moa mark.
Yes, my rifle has a bit of polishing done inside. Yes, my rifle has a Trueshot stabilizer. But...the dot in that optic is 3moa and that was with norc ammo. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, but here's proof why you shouldn't!
Merry Christmas/Buon Natale out there!

no love
Truth be told, I did not repeat that tight a group with the rest the box of the same ammo. All four were less than 2.5" though. My argument is for the semi 223 family. I have seen a $3k AR do better than that, but i get to shoot my mini wherever a firearm can be discharged. Against the T97 and su16, the mini reigns supreme. Against the tavor, sl4/8, mr1, acr, xcr, jard and ar's, if you have the money, money is made to be spent but you may not be impressed with your dollar for accuracy ratio.

My ranch will do that once in awhile with reloads, but not very consistant either.
A friend has a target model with the tuner that does better than mine.

I thought about a mini ... looked ... handled .... and decided to go with the extra cool factor of a NR M1 Carbine. I've got a few 4" groups at 100m with both the factory peeps and a red dot. That mini is a tack driver by comparison but with new prescription optics, who knows?

The rifle in the OP is looking down range in front of the 100m board on the Overfow at SPFGA.

I don't hate the minis, I've always thought they patterned well.
I have a friend who bought one then spent a bunch of money on it getting it to shoot well. It did, but for some reason he got worse. He sold the gun.

Exactly, accuracy is relative depending on the type of firearm and the application. But since I really have no use for a .223rem that shoots 2.5moa, I won't be owning a mini 14.

If I could get that kind of group all the time I would buy another one.
I had a folding stock model at one time that could produce a sub 4 MOA group.

I have actually re-barrelled a few mini-14s. Done 223 , 223 Ackley improved and 204 Ruger . They were all very accurate . Triggers were replaced with ASI triggers
The 223 was using a Shilen Barrel and the others were Bench mark all were sub minute of angle rifles .
By the way nice shooting that is tough to do with a factory rifle !
