Why not just make it illegal to shoot students in schools? Oh, that didn't work?

Like stated above, if someone has decided to kill someone they probably re not going to worry about weather a gun is legal or not. Even if they don't have a gun will we next ban sharp objects, rope, fire, blunt objects, vehicles, explosives and chemicals?
