Default Arrow rest & sight

Thinking it might be time to upgrade after this season for my rest and my sights.

I’m leaning towards the SABO tactical red dot sight, and either a ripcord code red fall away or a new archery Apache fall away for the rest.

Does anyone have any insights on any of these pieces? Pros or cons?

I have no expirience with the apache rest but in regards to the code red I know there are better options. The problem with the code red is that it drops on let down where as the ripcord ace or QAD line of rests will stay up upon letdown. So if you come to full draw on an animal then for whatever reason have to let down, you won't have to worry about your arrow bouncing off your riser.

Never heard of a SABO Tactical sight before, but personally I don't think much beats a spot Hogg or HHA sight.

Of the 2 tests you mentioned, I would choose the Apache. It is an awesome fall away rest with a proven track record. If you decided to go with a fall away that is inertia driven I agree with Kurt, that the code red is a poor choice. An HHA virtus with only 3 moving parts, or a qad are a far better choice in my opinion. I've been rocking a virtus on my 3d bow this whole last indoor and outdoor 3d season with really great results. When I choose a limb driven fall away it is a Hamskea, hands down.

I have not seen a SABO tactical sight, but it does look cool. I prefer to use a quality proven sight, like Kurt suggested, an HHA or spot Hogg are tough to beat.

Jmo,

Norm
