Anyone who shoots an arrow should be interested in those feathers. The primary feathers from a wild turkey make the best fletching available. They’re NOTHING like a processed feather. They also outlast plastic fletching, provide more control, decrease the amount of weight on the wrong end of an arrow, etc, etc, etc.
For one example, these feathers had been in the rain for a couple of hours. Still standing proud and ready to do their job. Most of the blood has already been washed out of the one in the middle.
Last time I needed fletching this guy would take your right and left wings and give back your fletch of choice if he could keep the opposite wing.
