Default Bear Truth 2 String Suppressors?

I have a Bear Truth 2 and after my deer last season and a few too many gophers I have found that both the upper and lower string suppressors are showing a level of wear that I am not comfortable shooting with.

A. I was wondering if anyone has ever removed the string suppressors from a Bear Truth 2. Is it a good idea, what results could you imagine, any damage?

B. Does anyone know where i can order new string suppressors (specifically the rubber caps)? ( knowing the product number would be good too )

Just as a side note it has 29inch draw and close to 80lb.

thanks!

You could e-mail bear directly. They were really good at answering questions I had.
