Nice looking rifle! And i'll bet it will be a shooter with the right ammo/loads. Let us no how it goes. 30.06 is a great cartridge. I love mine, enough punch with right bullets for any game in north america.

I have a Savage Model 111F (Plain Jane) in 3006 that shoots great. I'm going to guess that my action and barrel are the same? My trigger was brutal so I had to buy a Timney Trigger for it at about $110.00. The rifle that you are buying has the accutrigger so you won't have the same problem. I prefer a mag over the hinged floorplate but that's my own preference. It looks like a great rifle that I'm pretty sure that you'll be happy with it. Enjoy!

All Savage actions are the same so really the only difference is the stock. You must decide if you like the thumbhole or a more traditional stock.

My .223 Savage (14 American Classic) shoots nice - 0.75 to 1 MOA from a relatively solid rest. I have not shot this rifle from the bench yet.
