Default Braided line trout fishing (Bow R.)

So, I finally decided to try out the braided line (Sufix 832, 10lb [4lb mono eq. diam.])

Question: Do you really think the browns and rainbows in the Bow will notice the braided line and be spooked by it?

How important is it to use a flourocarbon leader, when fishing trout with braided line? (Generally fish with Rapala countdowns btw.)

I can imagine that in crystal clear water, maybe it would be a problem, but I don't usually fish clear water. Sometimes I fish around Canmore where the water is clear, but it is only clear in the early season. Also fish a lot in Fish Creek Park in south Calgary, and the water is usually very dark there.

Anyway, thoughts? Should I just use the floro leader? Or test without?

my experience with braided line on the bow hasn't been good,I use 10 lb
Trilene {I think} in a red box and I have out fished most and don't loose to many lures. It also allows you to reel them in a little fast and then release the ASAP which I think would be good too

Yah, I'm sick of losing lures every time I go out on 4lb or 6lb floro. The 4lb ties strong knots but breaks on snags because it's only 4lb. The 6lb is stronger but has weaker knots, for some reason, and so the knots break on snags.

Then the 8lb doesn't cast as free or far, so I don't like that.

So I've went with 10lb braid (4lb mono diam), for castability, and strength, and 6 foot of 8lb floro leader, which ties great knots and very strong, and is also still pretty thin and should still be invisible to the trout.

But I have yet to test the setup out...stupid winter!
