How to deal with a Poser?

It's too bad we can't re-establish "Liars' Clubs" like they had in the late 19th century - complete with a "Whopper of the Year Award".

I once read that the '1897 Airship Mystery' was just that and won the award, but I can't find the link anymore.
It would be real interesting to see what kind of tales people would come up with today!

I was telling my four year old nephew a tall tale once about fishing with the truck winch. Long, long story short the fish was pulling the truck into the lake so I had to chain the rear bumper to a giant oak tree and thats when he decided to call me on it. "There are no oak trees around here" of all the lies to be caught on by a four year old.

Last week I went to enjoy a fire in my backyard fire pit and finally got it going. But it was so cold, the flames froze.

Introduce one poser to another then sit back and watch the fun? Wonder if they would every figure it out.
