For me the 100gr ttsx has worked wonderfully.
I do prefer velocity over accuracy though..

Lol, I use the sonic boom to scare the deer to death. No need for accuracy!

Back in reality I would suggest the 120gr Swift A-Frame or or 120gr Grand Slam to the OP. If you pick a quality bullet preferably bonded you will be good to go.

Over 25 years ago I used a 117 grain partition. I do not know if Nosler still makes them, I never shot an elk but I did shoot quite a few very large bodied mule bucks. Nothing walked away. IIRC I never recovered a bullet. If you get decent accuracy, any partition would be my first choice.

Hmmmm? The SSTs and Balistic Tips seem to explode on impact and this is bad? The Berger bullets also seem to explode on impact and this is good even for elk

Partition for me when I had a 25-06. Worked perfectly every time from mule deer, whitetail to bull moose.

The Nosler partitions leave a lot to be desired, unless they hit bone,in three real life experiences for me.Mind you I hunt heavy bush and often don't have tracking snow.

Old thread, but none the less 25 cal info can be hard to come by. I use 100gr swift scirocco 2 on everything from white tail to elk. Of the last 5 kills 3 where bang flops. The other 2, 1 deer ran about 100m before he cratered and one bull elk that was hit dropped then got up and staggered about 35m before succumbing to its injuries. Over all the 25-06 has proven to be an very effective cartridge for game of all sizes and with the performance and results I have had with the 100gr scirocco 2 bullets I don’t see any reason to try anything else out for projectiles at the moment.

100 gr Partition’s and TSX’s have done well for me.

Spend more time shooting and less time interwebbing.
