Nice!Same here,but starting a 26 day hitch tommorow before I head east....it's only 624 hrs from now til take-off but who's counting,haha.

FWIW,lotsa water in NB this spring, bright fish caught this week on Dungarvon, the NWM,and Main SW above Doaktown(Rocky Bk run probly?)
High spring water and full moon tides should bring a good burst of fish up,be good timing for ya Norman.

thanks for the tips, ive never been there before so im relying on my brother and sister in law to take me to some places, they didnt have enough time to get their guide license so wont be able to fish most or all of the south mirimachi like i was hoping but they have some spots in mind to take me and my wife. Pretty strict regs from what ive been reading, for waters where you need a guide.

Big time

4 inches of rain forecast in the next 3 days. Streams are going to be high and murky. Isn't this the same weekend that we got all that rain last year, resulting in the flooding? I think I'm going to cry. Could be a week before the streams are fishable.

But the season doesn't open until Monday. That amount of rain will wreck them for days.

I am thinking full glass ...Come hell or high water I will wet a fly on Monday! lol
So far it looks the best for the opener in many years.
It has been more isolated showers today. I will just head upstream as far as need be with Sally and find a fish who has wintered well.
