Either when the water is high and dirty.
When the water is low and clear like now, you will have a tough time finding them without a good deep hole.
Dawn, dusk and night when clear water, anytime of the day when high and muddy.
The real good sturgeon fishing was 2 months ago lol....but if you know a hole they will bite all day. I find afternoon into evening maybe slightly better then morning.
Know of several great holes on the SSR. Calling for cooler temps and clouds/showers this weekend. Hoping the cooler weather and cloudy conditions might get them fired up.
NIGHTS!!!! I have done alright during the day with overcast conditions but last 2 night fishing outings I landed over 20 fish with many others missed because I feel asleep and my bell didn't wake me up fast enough. I have noticed a significant increase in activity after the sun drops below the horizon.
