Default Sundre Red Deer River

Has anyone been out to the rdr between sundre and the trunk road bridge?? I believe this is the only section of the river open this time of year. I was wondering how the river was doing. If the water level was really high or muddy, or if the melt is still going on? Going to try and fish it on friday, but if its not worth the time, ill save myself the 1 1/2 drive!

Haven't been out that way, but just read this on another forum...

"Was down that way Sunday and found that Fiesta still had the gate closed to the parking lot and the lake is 90% covered with ice.
Beaver is not any better with ice everywhere except the aeration pool. The aeration pool is still 50 yards of ice from the shoreline.About 1>2 weeks each.

Stauffer Creek is dirty as well. The lower Clearwater has a foot of visibility. South Raven and Beaver Creek in flood and even the Red Deer @ Sundre was dirty. As expected the Little Red was dirty."
