Default Crossfield pond + Red Deer River pics.

These were taken tues aft/evening.

Crossfield pond has good water levels. A couple of the tables are in the water slightly on the north end.

Red Deer river is still a bit muddy, but it is clearer than last weekend. General surface runoff is tapering off between Calgary and Red Deer. I would expect the Red Deer to clear up a lot more before the actual mountain snow pack runoff starts.

Now that things are warming up, it wasn't long ago when everybody wanted warm weather and spring/winter to end. Now it would be a good thing for a gradual warming because we are a bit late with the arrival of the warm weather. The other day was very clear and there is a lot of snow in the mountains. Worst thing to happen would be lots of hot weather and have it all come down in a short time period.

Thats actually not the Crossfield pond. The first two pictures are of the Sarcee fish and game pond. Crossfield pond is about three kms north of that.

Thanks for the clarification. That was the only one that I knew of out there. 3 km north would put the pond somewhere at the north end of the golf course, would that be right?

The cross field pond is right across from the motor bike track. If you take the grid road north from the Sarcee pond. Once you pass the golf course keep going it will be on the left hand side.

Since I have posted a couple pictures of the Sarcee pond, I feel it is only fair to put the link for them also. I am not a member there and hope this isn't considered advertising.
