Default I know there are bigger but it's my biggest.

Went out on Saturday on the hunt for some jumbos. Fishing was slow but I managed 6 perch for freezer and nice healthy walleye. Walleye is 53cm. New personal best perch, 13.25". 1pound 6.3oz. the last two trips I've done a lot better then my fishing partners and I have A.O to thank, specifically a thread on fishing line. I'm using power pro ice tech line now and on some roads a barrel swivel with a 3ft flourcarbon leader. Another tip for those targeting perch, don't forget to try soft plastics, I've caught more fish this year on plastics then bait.

Nice ones, my best perch was about 5 inches long and my biggest walleye not much bigger. They aren't in the water ways where I live, so fishing for them was a one time thing for me.

There ya go, nice job and appreciate your honesty thats exactly what a 13 and a bit inch perch weighs. Most guys call that a 2lb perch and it's not, great fish you got there. Tuff to get those big loners to bite unless there is a couple others down there to trigger the competitive side of them. I have had them sit back a few inches from the hook for minutes at a time then bugger off and come back later. That's why they got that big. Very skeptical.
