Default weather in Edson/Whitecourt /bear report

Is the snow in the edson or whitecourt mostly gone? any green grass coming on the cut lines? Much for bear sightings yet? Any tips on a good general area for bear?

Im working 1/2 hour south of Fox Creek, just west of the #947. All the snow here is gone, and there is a hint of green on the cutlines.

Only heard one sighting from road radar guy of a sow and 2 cubs. Rig hands driving back and forth from town are only seeing moose- no bears yet.

Took a drive down the Windfall road tonite with The Bit Runner. (About 20km west of Whitecourt, then south. Saw one decent sized set of tracks, and spotted one curious young black with a bright white diamond on his chest. Stood up on his hinds trying to be tough, then ran off.

Hardly a trace of snow left anywhere up here.

Gotta say Bit Runner is way better at staying on the road while gawking into the bush than I am.
