Default Big Foot Hunting Season

I have some friends from Oklahoma that told me about there state issuing Big Foot tags. I am curious to hear your thoughts on Alberta doing something similar.

I think its kind of funny. I think it would be a nice little way to generate some extra money for the Province. I would buy a tag and frame it an put in in my reloading room. I am interested in your thoughts. I can imagine some down sides to this idea and I am sure your fellas will post some.

Hunted with a guy several years ago who came over from Lebanon. I always joked with him that he was so hairy, that if they ever opened a season for Sasquatch, he'd be dead.
Can't see him leaving the house if they did it here.

Looking forward to all of the new threads.

Best caliber for hunting Bigfoot.
Bigfoot mismanagement by F&W.
Unregulated Bigfoot harvest.
Anyone seeing any Bigfoots in the Saddle Hills?
I've got a late season Bigfoot tag. Anyone know of any ranchers having Bigfoot issues?
What's the best zone to hunt Bigfoot? Not looking for your honeyhole, just need a place to start.
Why are we limited to a 3 day a week Bigfoot season in the 100 zones?

This post pretty much sums up everything I’ve ever read on AO. I love it!

You missed one though…

It's a special draw, you're only getting one in your lifetime, all the dang out-of provincers. Need to make the draw price high enough to discourage the anti's, 50 bux a poke, I'll hold the money.....

Why can't I use a .223 to shoot a bigfoot? It's all you need

I'd better get a landowner's tag for Bigfoot.
No good reason I should have to line up behind the peasantry for my tag.

I am spilling my tea all over thanks to you!
But you forgot this:
best way to cook the Bigfoot.
Best way to skin the Bigfoot.
Which Bigfoot is best for eating- male of female or a babyfoot…

I would rather have enough gun and break both of Bigfoot’s shoulders (and a hip, hopefully) than shoot it in the guts with a too small of a calibre.

And why must I keep the hide if I’m only shooting it for the meat?

I have at least a dozen hides already and I don’t need another.

Well whenever I’ve gone big foot hunting I’ve always packed a minimum of a 338. You want to bring enough gun to break bone and knock em down. I haven’t experienced it myself but when the males are rutting they get very aggressive and horny. Heard about one fella being attacked by a big foot, poor guy couldn’t walk for a month.

Draw times would probably mean a once in a life time tag. Best call to draw one in ?

Definitely a non resident hunt I could get behind. 5 tags 250,000 a tag. Fill your boots.

I was thinking make it $500 to enter the draw that way I might not have to wait as long to get drawn and if it's a once in a lifetime tag it should be good for 365 days.

With very limited sighting of Bigfoot, there is a risk that it will ambush you and take your gun away, no matter the calibre.

We had 4 or 5 hanging around the hay bales. I was walking to the truck and this one was looking at me. I waved. It waved back.....

Dont ever do that. Kinda hard to shoot something that waves back at you. Now there's 8 of them and every frigging time I go out to grab feed, they all wave......

Is there a male and female season? Is there a certain length of X or Y required? 🤷🏻*♂️
Or do they self identify.

Jasper will be open to all Indigenous hunters for Bigfoot. If you wack a few other critters during Bigfoot hunt no big deal.
