Default Whats your target Species this winter?

I know, I know...

I asked this last year also...

So far I have only been brave enough for the potholes and rainbow's and brookie's.But soon it will be time to try for whites.Name your game and if you want your favorite winter hole.

I'm hoping to add burbot to my icefishing success list so that's the target. Hopefully catch a few more perch than i have the past few years as well (think I've had 3 successful trips last year, all at Grassy down south). I am hoping to go for mountain whites, bull trout, lakers and rainbows in a few weeks. Will see how it works out.

Brown Trout as well as som bigger lakers. I would also like to try for some burbot on the new Aqua-Vu as well as perch. Brookies and cutties are also an option once fishing for rainbows gets old.

Just a note Burbot can be hiliarious on the camera.I had one last year that looked like a old cadillac going down a gravel road with the debris it churned up coming for the bait.Night time or early morning are best for the critters as they come in shallow at night.

Where are some good lakes to catch the different species of trout,(close to calgary) i want to try something different other than rainbow. Maybe browns, brookies and is there any chance of catching a bull through the ice?

I'm hopeing to do a lot more ice fishing on the blackfoot lakes in Montana this year, two years ago i pulled a 14 1/2 lbs brown through the ice at fourhorns, it was my best brown todate.... also would like to pull a monster pike and walleye though the ice this year...
