Default Big Pike pics

I was in Yellowknife for work in September and the fella up there said someone he knew caught this up there. I'm not sure he said a weight for it but I do remember him saying the one it is eating (the one they actually hooked) was in the 8 to 10 pound range.

Its a &*% pig. Anyone see these pics before??

This pic has shown up on every fishing website and forum around. It has been caught in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Lake-of-the-Woods, all the great lakes, Wisconsin, Minnesota, NWT, Yukon, and I think even the Glenmore Resevoir in Calgary.
The article (and pictures) were in Esox Angler Magazine this summer and the fish was caught in Holland. It is a pike, but the european strain or sub-species grow to mammoth proportions. Pike this size are caught regularily over there.

I dont see how some dispute C&R.....
That fish has been caught well over a 1000 times in the last 2 years.

On a side note, he is correct! The fish is from Holland.
Iam a regular reader of Esox and it was indeed in there.
Not to mention Im Dutch.....I know another woodenhead
when I see one.
