last oct. my son bought me a new rod for my bday. never got a chance to use it and finally took it to the nsr last thursday (7 mo. later). imagine my disgust when on the second cast the tip broke while retreiving with very little pressure being applied. took it back to the fishing hole. no recipt, 7 mo. later, NO PROBLEM. replaced it with the same rod because i really liked that rod. thats service, and no i don't spend a ton of money there.

I won't throw any brand names in, but was it by chance a white rod that broke? Seems there was a bad batch of 'em last season and I know of a few that went back for similar issues.
