Default Turkeys in WMU 406

Had a nice surprise when I went to check my trail camera that I had set up in WMU 406 and saw that there were some pictures of turkeys. In all the time I've spent in this unit I've never seen turkeys before. Possibly expanding their range north? Or maybe someone released them nearby? Either way it's cool to see.

Neat to hear that they are working their way north ...... last year a friend who lives along the Bow spotted a small flock along the river hopefully they made it through the winter

I didn’t see them last year but in the past few years I have seen a large flock of turkeys in 406 in the south east portion, the one day must have been a flock of 20-25. Have also seen a large group in 308 the last couple years. Sightings are rare but I have a video from 3 years ago of a Tom and hen breeding in 308. The amount of predators in those to zones must keep the numbers fairly low.

Saw one turkey in 406 about 10 years ago, then nothing. Good to hear they are there.
