Default Great trip on the Madison river

Just returned from couple day trip to Montana had a great time fishing the Madison river was surprised when I landed a cutbow first time I’ve caught one down there

Nice fish, especially those gorgeous browns. Must have been a good year for the Madison as I don't recall any hoot owl closures in that area.

Nice fish! I recently fished the Gallatin near Bozeman for a morning on my way east across the country. Beautiful area, also was surprised to catch a cutbow as far from the headwaters as I was. Lots of rainbows and browns came to the net but only one cutbow, which was very cutthroat-like aside from maybe too many spots up front. Most cutbows I catch in Alberta resemble rainbows alot more
