Default Anyone know what this rifle is worth?

It’s a Mannlicher-Schoeauer 6.5x 55 but I have no idea what it’s worth to list it properly on the exchange.

No, it's not.

I paid 200 for my Krag 6.5x 55 Norwegian.

Default My first rifle

Bought this Norwegian 6.5 x 55 Krag Carbine at Uncle Ben's Sporting Goods in 1959 for $25 it was $6.00 more than an 8mm Mauser or a 303 British. Foul proof magazine and an all around great gun for a kid like me to start hunting big game.

Worth about $2-300 unless there is something historically special about it.

Default 6.5 m/s

I believe you have a Krag rifle chambered in 6.5 M/S (6.5x54M/S) , not a 6.5x55 Swede. Be careful , there were a lot of 6.5cal. cartridges . Carcano made 6.5x52 , Some of them are chambered 6.5x54 M/S. They may not be stamped with the caliber.

Yes, but the barrel is plainly stamped 6.5x 55 .

Krag Action, with a Mannlicher stamped barrel that may or may not be chambered in 6.5x55.

If the chambering can be validated, it's worth $200.00 +, without validation the value is greatly diminished.

I think they are a very unique design. The machine work is really quite good . It must have taken some thought on how to make the magazine work .

Could you please advise How to check if it chambered for 6.5x55 swe or 6.5x54 (52) ?
I bought one few years ago but it says only 6.5 and never fired yet

As silly as this sounds, it's worth as much as you can get for it

+1 on the $200-300 range. That's what I've been able to get out of the few that I've had in the past, unless there's something historically significant about it as stated above.
