Default Civil Twilight

I recently read an article in "In Fisherman" magazine regarding catching big walleyes at civil twilight. It is apparently supposed to be the best time since big walleyes are cyclical eaters. I'm curious how many have done this and been successful? I'm thinking of giving it a try tomorrow. Sunrise is 5:45am. Last time I was out we ran a little late and didn't get on the water until about 20 minutes after sunrise and found fishing slow for the next 2 hours. Is that usually the case?

I have always been interested in the moon times and sunset/sunrise, I try to fish at those times. I have also see walleye well after sunset when it was fully dark.
